I walk with a crutch and use this side of cowick Street a lot. I can't walk far and crossing the road is always difficult . We need these spaces

The on street parking in Cowick Street is important as it allows the public to stop for a while and use the shops, dentist and other amenities. The car park by Co-op and the side streets around the area are very well used so it does not seem sensible to reduce the total parking. Also the implication of the car park is that it is for the shops that line 3 sides of it rather than the wider Cowick Street.

It's so important to have a little bit of parking along the street for everyone to have a chance to park close to where they need to get out. Especially the dentist.

These spaces are vital! My elderly nan uses Cartridges and likes the cafes in cowick street but is unable to walk from the main car park.

There is often insufficient space in our area park for Patients attending the health centre. Parking in Cowick Street and adjacent roads is essential to accommodate them

Please reconsider. This will have a major impact on the independent retailers in Cow icky Street. Give them a fighting chance to make a real chance to trade without putting further obstacles. I thought there were all sorts of ideas to help save our shops and high streets? Please do not do this.

Keeping local businesses is imperative to St Thomas remaining the community it is and we should be proud. What will be gained by taking the spaces away? Surely there's more to lose than gain. If there's the concern about people going in to town then reduce it to 30 minutes -1 hour

I love and work in the area. I drive a large van, never have any problems driving up and down cowick st. I cannot fit under the barrier to park in the presinct there fore would be unable to quickly and easily use the local shops!
I also feel it would encourage faster traffic on the street making it more dangerous.

Why would these invaluable spaces need to be removed? They are used all the time, not only for accessing the local businesses, but also for delivering donations to the charity shops that are too big to walk with.

There are good independent shops in cowick St . It would be criminal for the council to remove this vital parking . Everything should be done to help these businesses to thrive .

It works well, local business's would miss out on trade and having lived in the area for a number of years there does not seem to be a problem so why cause this disruption our community works well!!!
