Save Our Racquetball Courts at InShape Antioch!

To arbitrarily close the courts without checking with racquetball players/ members is short sighted. My physician recommended that i take up a cardio activity and racquetball is a. Ideal choice. Now that's gone you're relegated me to a lab rat on one of your stationary tred machines Please reconsider

I’ve been playing racquetball for a little over a year and I absolutely love it. I always bring new friends to come play and most of them joined In-Shape specifically to play racquetball. Please don’t take the courts away, it’s What I love most about In-Shape

Racquetball.is definetly a way of life for me. It started at IS Tracy and i have made life long friendships because of it. I can lift weights or cross train anywhere. But at IS i know my racquetball family will always be there. I encourage the decision makers to remove and subsequently make this sport extinct to learn more about it. With such short notice on these rug pulling decisions i as a long time member of 15 years feel like IS could care less about me and only care about making money. i pay my dues.

This was a deceptive move no notice and on top of it all the general manager takes vacation during this time just so that he would not have to talk to his customers about this move. The logic does not even make sense. As this will not add that much space. The upstairs weight room is under used why build more? This mo ey could be used to update broken equipment that abounds and dirty bathrooms that could be cleaned. The gym is supposed to be diverse what’s next get rid of the pools? We need a balanced work out area not just machines. You did not get feedback that people wanted this that’s deceptive as well please leave the courts alone. My neighbor across has already stopped his membership because of this decision

My family and I are so deeply hurt with the decision of removing the courts. We have been members since 2004 and the reason we chose IS above all other clubs was because of Racquetball. I have refined my skills there, played several tournaments, taught my family and many other as they came in with curiosity. It is truly our favorite way to do cardio. We have so many young ones interested in this sport and it’s so sad their experience will be short lived ; (

With all the racquetball club players in Nor Cal. Why not turn a club or two into racquetball clubs. Strictly racquetball courts and locker rooms. I feel you would have member drive up to 45 mins to play racquetball at a club. Knowing that there are players and courts open to play. Strictly just racquetball. Maybe a stadium court or other viewing courts. We can get a group of players together to have our own racquetball club like Green Bay owns the Packers. Of course it’s all about the money.

It would be a terrible mistake to close the Racquetball courts. It would take away the thing that I love the most about In-Shape. Otherwise I will not keep my membership and let all the people I know that In-Shape doesn’t care about their members but about their pocketbook. I’m in favor of keep the courts open.

Please keep the courts open. Racquetball is a huge part of the gym/fitness experience.

In Shape should reconsider their unilateral decision to close the racquetball courts. Healthy communities are nurtured on trust to become stronger responsive to its members. In shape clearly is not supporting our community.

We are a family of 6 and we play racquetball all the time we play all the racquetball tournaments and would like to keep playing for many years. Please keep the racquetball courts and keep our sport a life. Thanks Elias

InShape needs to stop being byes. We racquetball players deserve to be treated with respect for the love of our game and fitness. If you really look at racquetball this is one of the sports people at an older age can still play. I know racquetball friends that are over 80 years old and still playing. I look at this a sad thing that you are taking away from our seniors. You’re looking at making money only not at peoples well being. In my eyes this is elder abuse as well not caring for all our tournaments that are being put on and if you take a closer look you will see that many people are teaching young kids to keep the sport going and many of us as myself and a friend have trained for free every week and haven’t asked for anything in return. So please don’t take away our few racquetball courts that are left. !!

What a shame that more courts are potentially being demolished. IS, please reconsider.

I think that In-Shape is being very unfair in getting rid of their Racquetball courts. My husband and I joined the gym before they even opened their doors, and it was only because of their racquetball courts. We are very upset with In-Shape because they lied and said that this is what the majority of the members wanted, and yet we know of no one that was given a survey.

I love racquet ball! Please don’t take it away!

Keep the courts opened.

I’ve been a member for over 25 years devoted to pay my monthly fees every single month and when I signed up it was for racquetball they took away 10 courts, we’re down to 2 courts so we’re having to share and play doubles only

Please, please reconsider eliminating racquetball at InShape Antioch. I have been a visitor (for racquetball only) many times and enjoy playing with my racquetball family who are members there. The competition that is provided by this game is most likely unparalleled by any other group who frequent the facility and would deal a severe blow to friendships that started there.
