I grew up in Bothell and still live in the area. I have the best memories coming here with my mom as a little girl and someday I hope to bring my little girl here. Please don't bulldoze it!

Country Village is a wonderful place for children to experience. Everyone should be doing everything possible to keep this property from being bulldozed for more housing. There's new housing everywhere and it's a shame this is even a remote possibility.

Country Village is part of the unique character of the Bothell Area. It should be a cultural landmark. It has been enjoyed by generations of old and young.

This is a landmark that needs to be preserved. It is a place we have all grown up going to and are now bringing our own children. We have enough housing complexes and don't need more. We need to preserve some historic landmarks.

If people and the city went to bat to save Wayne Golf, saving country village should be no brainer. Don't blow this Bothell.

Your Christmas event put others to shame. My daughter looks forward to them every year.

Two generations of my family have been visiting Country Village over the years and we are on the verge of welcoming a third generation to the tradition. It will be a shame to lose such a community resource to more development. I hope another solution, preferably keeping County Village alive, can be found for both the owners and the community.

My mother in law brought my husband here as a kid when she would shop, we now live a mile away and I shop at country village quite a bit. We are expecting our first child and it breaks my heart thInking it won't be here for us to continue to enjoy as a family. It is also such a unique place and brings quite a bit of business to Bothell by way of interested customers who wouldn't otherwise visit our city. And not to mention how awesome it is to have so many small, local businesses to support.

There is nothing like Country Village in the area. It should prosper and be preserved for all of us in the area.

THis is a long time curtural landmark and the community needs more places like this and fewer massive housing projects with no yards for children to play. Our youth needs places like this to have a sense of community.

Don't give in to developers, start a co-op with the merchants

Save the Village that brings more to the community than new condos or chain stores.

This is just a horrible sad thing to happen to Bothell.... was married in Country Village. Always visit at least three times a month and always bring family here. This would be a really sad thing not to mention all the shops and jobs we could lose

As it urbanizes rapidly, Seattle/Puget Sound and now Bothell are all about creating Urban Villages. Well, this one already exists! Bothell's County Village is a unique place, a real 'economic development' opportunity for little cottage industries with a creative bent. There are so many reasons to save it, if not for the jobs of young people, families, retired 'encore' entrepreneurs, for the wonderful gathering places it provides for kids, babies, families, treasure hunters, shoppers, entrepreneurs. Bothell is now about Public Spaces. Country Village is a public space unlike any other. The only one I can think of that compares is in Coombs, British Columbia.....an old village market like the 19th century British rural markets of yore. Having just read, "The Shepherd's Life" I think it would be a crime to tear this place down.

Country Village is a boon to small businesses with niche markets in the area. It's a lovely place - wonderful for families and pets to meander and gather. It's essential to maintaining the community. Let's find someplace else for blase but needful housing.

It is time we stopped expanding to accommodate growth. There is little country feel left, and it is important that we keep what we do have. Country Village is an institution in Bothell, and we need to keep it EXACTLY AS IT IS. Please do not allow developers to take away the country feel we have here. It always seems to be the bottom line, $$$$. Isn't it time we stop thinking greed and consider people first. NOT NEW HOMES... We don't want to become like California' no space between towns. Plus this promotes traffic and we certainly don't need this.

as the Seattle area changes rapidly, it is important to give future generations an appreciation of (1) the effort that went into the founding of this area they inherited and (2) where food comes from. It is possible for growth/development to preserve reminders of the origins.
