I've visited this Business several times and find no faults in their operations, presentations or environment. Keep supporting these operations or..... turn into residential only town! See if things change for the 'better' then.....

There is no need to stop this family from having the dream of a therapy farm. There are other farms in the area that nobody else has a hard time with. It was a former disgruntled neighbor that started this “problem”

I have never seen a town take away animals without just cause. As a man who comes from a family that has a farm I would never wish to stop the promotion ofagriculture. I just wonder if anything else is going on. How long has this farm been around? What is the acreage? How many animals do they have?? I saw someone say it is a therapy farm, they should have licenses in place, to help refute this. Why not have the neighbors abutting the farm just sign a petition saying they are fine with the farm and there is no smell. There are several farms in merrimac that have never had an issue.

As someone who is heavily involved in agriculture, I am signing this petition to ensure that anyone brave enough and selfless enough to pursue a career in agriculture should be supported at all costs. Agriculture is dying in Massachusetts sadly and everytime another farm closes more houses are built, less hay is made, less nutritious meat and veggies are grown, and one more family legacy dies. If the farm is following the laws ie (storm water run off laws and wetland set backs) this is a no brainer. Manure smells it’s part of farming. Get over it or go back to the city where you belong.

They have had the animals for I believe under a year if not a year and the issue with the smell has been going on since they got the goats. It has just taken this long to get authority's involved, and advise them that they do not have the appropriate acrage for the number of livestock on the property. Which is the main reason they must get ride of the animals.
