I was never really a DC fan. I didn't mind the shows Arrow and The Flash but they never really caught my attention. What I think caught my attention here, as a Welsh person myself, was the fact that Matt Ryan is Welsh. I know it doesn't seem important to many but I rarely see people like me on TV (i.e. Welsh people) even if the character isn't Welsh (though his accent does come out every now and then). It's more than just the accent though, I love the themes, the character himself is very well written and portrayed. I've always been into the darker side of the Supernatural/Fantasy genre and I think that this show (and I assume the comics do as well) has done it so well. A lot of shows that try to be "darker" fail miserably, they can't get the balance right. But Constantine does it perfectly.

This is my favorite show in a very very long time, the only one I absolutely stop all plans for and watch live. I have grown to love the entire cast. They, as well as the showrunners and crew, are also really great people to interact with on Twitter. Friday nights will not be the same without Constantine. I've been reading Hellblazer for nearly 20 years and I can't think of a better-suited actor than Matt Ryan. The DC references are fast and furious; the Spectre's teased origin would be a shame to abandon like this, as well. The cliffhanger it ended on was really cruel, too! Please save our show so we can see what the writers will adapt next.

Constantine is an awesome show. You just have it on the wrong night. I bet if you air it on any night Mon-Thur, the ratings will go up a great deal.
