I did not play rugby myself but I met all of my best friends because they played rugby together. My Colby experience would not have been the same without Colby rugby. It would be a tragedy to get rid of this sport that brings lifelong friends together.

Rugby offers its participants life lessons and values far beyond the cost of preventive care. Please keep it going !

As a former Bowdoin Women's Rugby player ('03) and thinking about a sport that totally changed my life (for the better!) I stand with Colby Rugby.

based on the administrations concern for the "growing awareness of health and safety risks of a high collision/impact sport." - I would assume they are dropping football and soccer as well.

Men's and Women's Rugby is GROWING in America. It is a true athletic sport. If this program is getting cancelled because of "health and safety risks" How about you get rid of foot ball and lacross because there is more serious injuries in those sports.

I played at Bates and Colby was our biggest rival. It would be a complete shame to have Colby cut this team. Rugby taught me many things on and off the field and today I stand with Colby Rugby.

I don't go to Colby but I do play college rugby and I know how important it is to me and my team. These students should have the same opportunity to play a sport that they love.

Rugby has much lower incidence of injuries due to high impact or collision. If this is one of the reasons for ending the program, you need to look at all sports, especially football, basketball, and hockey.
