If there is any one thing that is ridiculous it so to claim that the coconut tree is a grass. Coconut trees are the only trees in the world that are used entirely from A to Z with zero wastage. Grass takes days to grow. A coconut tree takes years to greg and mature and it cannot be mowed down. So I wonder who that stupid idiot was that first of all called it a grass, secondly the malt precious tree on the planet can't be called a grass it in fact needs to be protected as it gives life, gives fruit builds shelter and is a cash crop. Does the minister who put this forward know that coconut water can be substituted for PLASMA in an emergency. Can grass do that?

Coconut tress are trees and not weed. It is one of an iconic representation of Goa.

The coconut tree of Goa & India is a tree that gives each part of it to use selflessly. It is our pride, cause of beautiful nature & provides variety of benefits. Cutting them will only bring destruction. This needs to be stopped.
