It is a criminal act to cut down the coconut trees in Goa. These trees have beautified our culture, cuisine, beauty of Goa and has in many ways we giants make good use of the coconut shells n palms in our rich culture appreciated by the world. Let us strongly plead & pray to Hod to give them wisdom not to even think or act to destroy the coconut trees of Goa.

Legalese nd scientific jargon aside, coconut trees do serve purposes like trees and deserve to be treated as such. They provide shade, keeping us cool and sheltered underneath. They hold the soil together and tke the brunt of stormy weather. They provide us with nutritious food items and other things for use in our daily lives. Human greed and stupidity are trying to see to it that this beautiful tree is done zway with throughout goa. Let us do oubit for the future by stoping this!

Goan landscape is synonymous with the Coconut tree, Terming it as a grass, to cut down, without any necessary permission. will lead to large scale destruction of the environment and ecology.

It would be foolish for anyone to cut a tree that occupies the minimum ground space, rooting itself almost on the surface so using only surface water for its survival and the abundant climate of the tropics, yet is so useful right from root to trunk to fruit to leaves.....Not even a builder needs to cut these trees they can just transplant them to the setback and landscaped open areas of their projects. I fail to see where and why this issue has come up at all!!
