Mr Sergio made me fall in love with sports! Now in highschool, playing field hockey and being so happy with my fitness, I owe it all to him. We always looked up to him, Super Sergio was our hero and I hope that he will be able to continue to inspire more students at TPES! Please do everything you can to keep him, I would not forgive TPES if they let him go.

I really can not believe that it is even a consideration that Sergio would not be at TPES. He was here for our kids all through the pandemic. He shows up and donates his time. How many parents have been in bidding wars for thier kids for an exclusive Coach Sergio activity?! He has been with TPES for 31 years and there isn't a more dedicated professional. Whatever admin loop that needs to be jumped through, needs to happen. It would be such a devastating hit for TPES to lose Coach Sergio.

Sergio has always enriched Shai’s elementary school with experience with amazing and important physical education embodied in good sportsmanship and good values. Sergio has been a great role model for Shai.

Coach Sergio is singularly responsible for inspiring my kids to be active and healthy. His presence at TPES was unfailingly positive and cheerful. Losing him due to an administrative kerfuffle would be a disaster for the school.

While he has a tremendous influence as a coach, educator, and playground referee at TPES, Sergio has been instrumental in encouraging, developing, and teaching all the students how to prepare and compete with tenacity and humility in the JUNIOR OLYMPICS. The continuing reign of TPES and the competitive spirit of the students and parents alike has been a direct result of Sergio’s presence and mastery in planning. He. CAN NOT. Be. Let. Go!!!!

Coach Sergio is a caring teacher who really connects with our kids. He gave my older daughter the confidence to try ice hockey, and she is now on an all-girls travel tram which qualified to for Districts last year. And my younger daughter loved to show him what she learned in gymnastics. He genuinely connected with them and encouraged and inspired them. We need more teachers like Coach Sergio!

My kid and her bff used to call him “Super Sergio” and they made a comic book about him, which was “sold” at town in fifth grade. Kids would get “the adventures of Super Sergio” weekly. It was inspired by the fact that the coach was on the news several times for saving people drowning, but also just by how he is. Super.

I can’t understand how this is even a consideration. I literally hear the kids say all the time how much they love coach Sergio. Every kid knows Sergio at the school and he is such a great influence on their lives. This is totally unacceptable. He is one of the best.
