The EC baseball program was transformed under Coach Schmeiser. He took a group of young men who had received no positive influence or direction during their high school baseball experience and led them to the first winning season in school history and into the CIF playoffs. But even more inspiring, he brought together a team that was deeply grieving for a teammate who had just passed away unexpectedly and dedicated the entire season to him -- a player he had never personally met!! I don't believe that anyone else could have stepped into that role at such a tough time and created such a positive experience. This is a coach who cares deeply for his players and is passionate about the game. The outpouring of support from players past and current is evidence that this man deserves his job back!!!

He was my brothers baseball coach junior and senior year and took the team further than any other in El Camino history!! All the boys loved him! Bring him back!

The El Camino baseball program will not be the same without Coach Schmeiser at the helm. My son played for Coach Schmeiser during the '13 and '14 seasons, and for Coach Gonzalez during the '11 and '12 seasons. Prior to, and during his time at El Camino, he played for numerous other coaches within elite travel and prospective collegiate programs. It is my opinion that Coach Schmeiser is one of the very best coaches my son has had the privilege of playing for. Coach Schmeiser prepared my son physically, mentally, and most importantly, emotionally, to play Division 1 collegiate baseball with young men 4 years his senior. He was prepared to compete at the highest physical level, while also maintaining a sense of emotional and mental balance. Coach Schmeiser instilled in my son, a sense of appreciation for the opportunities he had and a strong work ethic to be successful at the next level. I have a son who will be entering El Camino in '16, and if Coach Schmeiser is not leading the baseball program, we may opt to look at alternatives.

Coach shmeizer was my freshman baseball coach at RBV and is honestly one of the best coaches I've ever had. He makes the game enjoyable and motivated me in the best and most positive way. I'm very grateful to call him my Coach, as he has also made me a better man off the field.

I graduated from EC in 2014. Jason is one of the most passionate coaches I have ever played for. He cares for his players so much. He is the first coach ever to bring a winning record to El Camino.

Jason is an amazing coach that brought el Camino to CIF semi finals in his first year coaching and all the way to CIF the following year. He's known as a "hard coach" only because he cares about his players and their success in the game.

Big mistake. Not only coached the 3 best teams to ever play at El Camino, but built a batting cage in Forrest's name. Helped numerous players move on to college baseball with scholarship money. Drove from his house in Vista the open the cage for me during summer, even allowed my roommate from our rival Oceanside High to workout at the field every day hassle free. That is just what he did on the field, what he has done for the players goes way beyond just baseball. Don't let a family who has already gotten a cheer coach fired, cheerleaders suspended, and attempted to get baseball players suspended for "bullying," then the kid gets caught cheating on a test. Hmm...
