There are so many other things we need to be concerned about with besides a photo some people find offending. we should worry about our kids getting in to drugs and alcohol and other harmful things our kids now a days are getting in to. These kids see worse things on T.V. and at the movie theaters, even in their every day lives they see more than this painting.

I hope this poor teacher receives a public apology from the school district and reinstated... It's a sad day when a teach get removed from the classroom in the middle of class for doing her job. To this teacher good job on not only getting your students to think about this piece but most of Northern Nevada!!!

I disagree on all this nonsense that's happening. I can say I haven't meet this teacher but what I can say my son has her and he always has good things to say about her, I'm sad to see all this getting out of control. I as a mother of three I try to talk to my children about what's going on in life. This is what reality is and I'm not sorry for who got offended by this if you are I'm sure you live under a rock because this it what's going on a daily basis. I hope this wonderful, kind teacher shouldn't lose her job. Other things or going in life that really matter.

Caution against a knee jerk reaction. Dismissing a good teacher over perceived offence over a piece of art. Don't let one person dictate the fate of a good teacher. Council her but do not terminate her.

Kids see worse things every day, the picture doesnt depict reality but what Americans are screaming every day. So the picture can be related to whats already in the news

I personally think, people are blowing this out of perportation. I DO NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THIS!!!! Teaching our kids, what realty is, is a MUST..... As a parent it is our responsibility to teach our kids right from wrong, how to be opened minded. And the realty of what this world is!!! This is part of history in the making and wether we like it or not we are part of it. Secluding your child from the truth is like letting a wingless bird fly of the nest. I'm not trying to say how people should raise there kids. All I'm saying my family and I support this teacher.

This is a good teacher. She gets her students to think outside the box and learn to look at alternatives. Please keep Ms. Clausen where she belongs, in the classroom.
