I think it's ridiculous this isn't going ahead. It would bring a lot of life and Christmas spirit to malahide. That's what Christmas is all about! It's not as if it's forever

This Christmas market is a great idea and could become a Christmas tradition in malahide. The tourism and revenues this kind of this could bring to the village must vastly outweigh the few complaints recieved.

The voice of a few decide for the many it appears. While residents have the right to express their opinion, I find it amazing these few were all informed of a "public meeting" while the majority knew nothing. Irrespective of their locality, it is a village green for the use of the village that was there before they moved to the marina and it will be there long after they leave. Is Malahide village now only allowed to hold events once they approve?? What if they don't like the summer festivals next.. Its a public area for the village not an extended front garden of apartment owners/renters.

Truely devastated that Christmas kingdom is cancelled, I have 3 young kids and was excited to bring them, and to experience the Christmas atmosphere in the village.

This event would have brought much needed business to the area and would have really added to the Christmas atmosphere in the town.

i am a malahide Marina resident and I strongly believe this should go ahead. I was not asked to a residents meeting of any sort to discuss this and if I was I would have voted in its favour. It will be great for adults, children, and malahide as a whole. Fantastic opportunity for the village, and an embarrassment if it's moved on.
