The village green was a gift to the people of the general malahide area and not a private garden for a exclusive delvopment

The village is only getting to its knees with shops still closed and could do with a boost like this. I will support any pro-event meeting that may be held.

I was devastated to hear the fair had been cancelled. It would create great business for Malahide as well as creating a pleasant, family friendly, festive atmosphere in the village.

Those who claim it will bring "issues" shoudllook up the meaning of Catastrophe Syndrome - only ever looking at a worst case scenario even if its extremely unlikely. The few NIMBYS should wake up to themselves.

We are just coming out of a recession. Malahide likes to portray itself as a tourist destination. Maybe the objectors would be better off moving to some retirement village and let the rest of us get on with it. I have three of the family going to college and all have part time jobs in the hotel/restaurant outlets in Malahide. Nobody id going to get us of of recession but ourselves. Fingal Councils capitulation to a few NIMBYs is pathetic
