Seems there's other areas to put the classrooms rather than cut down trees. Please use some good sense and leave the trees .

The decision to cut down trees needs to be reconsidered! My children went Cherry Valley and there's no shortage of available space for the new building elsewhere.

My son attended late 80s-early 90s. Traffic congestion was an issue then, with neighbors complaining about long lines of idling cars every day. I cannot imagine the impact that a 9,000 square foot building would have. Cherry Valley is a fabulous school model! Are there enough new residents to build another elementary, west side?

This is sad to see something that’s so against what the neighborhood wants. I’m supporting the neighborhood against this.

This is absurd. The school schools are already in a $6 million budget crisis that’s only getting worse. They’re laying people off. I know hypothetically people claim the money doesn’t come from the same place but that’s BS. One way street in a community that barely has any junior high school age kids attending the two junior high schools that are already available for the students to attend. that’s the wrong place for a two-story building coming from a school that teaches children to preserve nature and that global warming is real yet they need to cut down a bunch of trees to put a junior high school that is not even needed. Those students can attend either of the two or three other junior high schools that are already available here in the community. We don’t need to spend that money on that that’s for crazy people

This area lacks public green space and you’re going to take some of it away? Who thought this through and approved this?

This is absurd. There are too many kids going to that school from all over town—the traffic is horrible. Are the city and neighborhood going to approve a road widening project too? Who is paying for all of this? They need to move to a different location.

Please pause the project to address the environmental impact the current plan has, as there will be needless destruction of the well-established tree canopy on the school property. A better plan needs to be in place. Thank you.

As a local who raised 3 sons in Petaluma and still live here we are allagainst this destruction. Shame on whoever thought it and brought it to table. Shae on the rest of you for approving it.
