This is terrible. Why is it that cheerleading is the sport that's getting cut? Their is plenty of other sports or activities for the "budget cut"

there is nothing like the self esteem cheer brings to these kids. they need the program. its a huge part of high school for these kids. please think before you cut cheer. its not a program to lose.

Cheerleading makes people look different at the things around them. It's like making others exited for something different but when the Cheerleaders come out its like they're trying to make a difference between themselves and the individuals in the stands and the ones on the field/courts.

Taking cheerleading away is not the answer. It's a sport just like football, baseball, etc. plus it adds so much excitement to the games they cheer for. I'm a former cheerleader from Cheektowaga central. There has to be other ways to spend less and stay in the budget without it taking away fun and fitness from the kids.
Cheerleaders become leaders in our community. The dedication to their team, school work and community is important to the students and school. Please keep the cheerleading program !

The girls in the school want to cheer. The sport should not be penilized because there was a couple of bad eggs on the squad last ur. The girls went looking 2 yrs ago for coaches cause mr. Hickson wouldn't find them one. Now here we go again. Just because they are not boys and the sport is not football, the girls deserve a squad. What is fair to one is fair to the other.
