Keep a bookstore in the community.

The idea of a Shoppers Drug Mart moving in there is absolutely disgusting! The Chapters is a pillar of our community! If they move out of our neighbourhood, then our neighbourhood will not have a bookstore since Book City closed!

The most beautiful & inviting of all the Indigo stores is shutting down. So sad.

Love the historic nature of the store and the kids section.

The community should be empowered to choose to keep Chapters @ Runnymede and prevent Shoppers Drug Mart to take over the location.

to close down such a beautiful bookstore to turn it into a sterile store like shoppers is absolutely horrible. it will destroy the character of not only the building but the entire neighborhood that it is in

This is ridiculous. Chapters is the kind of store on a Saturday morning you find nice people sharing a read or two. It enriches my life and I always look forward to spending time there. There are very few Chapters and very many Shoppers including one within walking distance of the location planned. It is simply not necessary to spend all that money rebuilding and I'd much rather have a nice Chapters there.

The Chapters at this location needs to stay. As has been stated before, there are many Shoppers locations in this vicinity -- why add one more>\?

There is not one, but TWO shoppers drug marts very close by. This is nothing shot of corporate barbarism. Coming from a capitalist supporter, by the way.

When Chapters bought this location there were many public consultations and the public agreed that they could buy and use the old theatre only because they agreed to preserve the heritage of it. It Shoppers moves in, how can we be sure they will keep the heritage, the history of the building. It is part of what makes the area so unique, so special. The loss isn't just that a bookstore is leaving (a tradgedy in it's own rights) but that the history of the place will be gone too. It will make me, and many, many others very sad if this moves forward.

Chapters has been like a second home to me. I could spend every minute of every day of my life in there if I could. It honestly means somuch to me. It's gorgeous inside and it breaks my heart that it would be changed.
