This shows an utter lack of foresight by the County. Adding more residential and commercial real estate to an already congested route is not responsible governing. There is only one direct route in and out of the 301/5 corridor from Brandywine to the Beltway. It already takes 20-30 minutes to travel that route in rush hour traffic. Adding more residents and commercial real estate for tax revenue without additional roads to ease congestion is not wise. This will also impact schools and basic public services. If approved, I guarantee that I will not vote for any of the incumbents. It is time for a new direction.

We don't need anymore shops along 301. The new construction along Branch Avenue and Accokeek Road was to improve traffic congestion, to no avail. I moved to Brandywine 10 years ago because of the isolation and no public transportation. However, in those years, this tranquility has been interrupted. Stop putting low class stores in our neighborhood. We need upscale stores, such as Trader Joe or Ruth Chris. Stop belittling PG County.

I agree! There is plenty of land/space at the Brandywine Crossing Shopping center; why increase traffic within the Chaddsford neighborhood? I thought the new plans at the intersection of Rt 5/Accokeek Rd/Brandwine Rd was to improve traffic. Looks like it's being reversed by building high traffic developments along Rt 5 (Royal Farm, 7-eleven, Taco Bell, etc).

We do not want 7-11 type store, a gas station or fast food in our quiet neighborhood. This change would force me to seriously plan on selling and moving further away from the crime that this store will bring. PG still hasn't caught the killer of the 7-11 clerk in Clinton last year. Why does the commission continue to degrade and devalue our communities? This will also become a haven for kids hanging out during or after school, and a magnet for drug dealers looking to prey on their victims. Thanks, Paul

Stop putting things in our “country neighborhood “! I have been here for 30 years and just getting worse around here. People that live in this area enjoy not having the “Waldorf & Clinton” vibe. Stop destroying our quiet life!!

No,please do not do this to this residential community,it will make traffic so much worse. I live in here and I don't want to have to deal with the trash and traffic it'll bring. The traffic is bad enough. I recently had an accident at 301 south and ChaddsFord Rd. while sitting at the light coming out of Chadds Ford. Guy speeding on 301 misjudged his turn into Chadds Ford and jumped the median and slammed into me sending me to the hospital by ambulance. So no,we dont need this.

Since buying my house in 2016, I have experienced several suspicious activity and bringing retail stores would bring even more suspicious activity so please accept my vote and that is NO TO RETAIL STORES. THEY BELONG ACROSS THE STREET WHERE THE OTHER RETAIL STORES ARE LOCATED.
