Thank you for starting the petition to restore Carpenter's Creek! I've seen old photo's of dolphin playing in the bayou and happy swimmers enjoying clean water. It's not too late to clean up this worthy waterway.

Thank you Laurie Murphy, Executive Director of Emerald Coastkeeper, and all the wonderful volunteers that are bringing this creek back! So much more work and money is needed. Please, if you live in Pensacola, support this cause and http://www.emeraldcoastkeeper.org/save-carpenter-creek

it is unconscionable to leave this once beautiful waterway in its present condition.

I believe it is far past time that we correct and clear the trash and debri blockage from source to 12th avenue bridge. Some of the BP winfall dollars can finally make this happen.

40-50 years ago, Carpenter Creek was a bastion of bass/bream and mullet. We would even see porpoise as far as the 12th Ave bridge. The shortsightedness of developers of Cordova Mall/Albertson's and surrounding area has destroyed a once pristine waterway enjoyed by swimmers, skiers and fisherman. Nothing could be more worthy of our efforts than this cause.

Clean waters ways - what a concept. Wouldn't it be wonderful though, on a lovely weekend morning to take the family for a beautiful stroll along a wooded creek? Here in the city? Right in our backyards?
