as a regular holiday maker in Grenada one of the things I love is the minimal impact tourism has (compared to other destinations) and that grenadians have so much love for their beautiful country. So sad that this seems to be disappearing.

Keith Mitchell really love to waste public funds. In the first place , there should not be any discussion and any committee on Camerhogne Park, this park belongs to the people of Grenada, sealed and final. This is an insult to the people of Grenada by the PM and the foreign investor. Camerhogne Park is as dear to Grenadian as to the people of New York City with Central Park. Can any investor ask the government of Egypt to sell the Egyptian pyramids, never. People of Grenada have to stop being Jim Jones followers, otherwise we are going to die as Marcus Garvey had said. Wake up people, gentrification is going on in Grenada and it must stop before its too late.

If this is what tourism means to Caribbean Leaders, then we have a serious problem. IMF cannot dictate what we do with our assets. They are using a black men to sell us back into slavery-what makes matters worse, these so-called hotels and criminal investors get 30 years TAX FREE, while the poor man is bullied to pay what he do not have to tax.....2.7 billion$ cannot be repaid in 4 years, it is impossible and the IMF need to know that. Our next problem will be the water- Are these so-called hotels investing in a desalination plant for their hotels as we have a water problem of our own. This move by the NNP is food for the opposition.......

I am from the Grand Anse area and the best thing that the people can do now is to start demonstrating on a daily basis until they are heard.

I just want to say that though I respect the views of everyone, I do not agree with it. Firstly, I believe Grenadians are only rushing to save the park because they just want to remain hoarding a quite frankly 'run down' space in a deplorable state. Back in the day, this park was beautiful and well kept...But now, it's quite unkept since defacing public landmarks is what certain grenadians do best. It only serves as an entrance to the beach and that's all you people care about. Did Keith Mitchell say he'd block off the beach? No. Now that's something you sign a petition for. Not the relocation of a park given to us in the ancient times. Who said there won't be another entrance? And who knows? Maybe this newly relocated park would serve as a place for picnics and family get togethers. Far as I know, this park isn't catering to any of those needs. What grenadians love to do is hold on to everything. True hoarders. Also, the argument that there are too many hotels in Grand Anse and/ Grenada? Are you kidding me? We have little compared to many and tourism is our main source of income. And it would provide employment to our Grenadians. Also, the argument of the employment of little grenadians in these hotels....Wait....Let me get this straight....You want an investor to arrive and not have their specialized employees with them? That's one of the protocols of an investor...Why would an investor come in and employ the majority of Grenada? Obviously persons with the right experience and work ethic would be employed and that goes a long way. If 200 grenadians are employed, that would amount to (at least) 400 mouths being fed. "It doesn't bring much money in" Please just listen to yourself when you speak and a matter of fact, never just pick up an argument and opinion you are not knowledgeable about. The government collects the revenue from the taxes implemented at the hotel and we all know how highly taxed tourists are at hotels. Wise up Grenadians.

Dr. Mitchell's political track record clearly indicates that he has no care or concern for Grenada's patrimony; and that he will do anything that he considers to be politically expedient in his favour, irrespective of the cost to the country and its people. Saving Camerhogne Park is just the beginning. We need to save Grenada from the cult of Dr. Mitchell and his NNP.
