CPU is not only an invaluable service for those who are treated there, it's also invaluable as a place for trainees to get experience of working psychoanalytically.

ERROR: YOU HAVE SAID IN THE TEXT THAT THE CPU 'CAN REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 2013'. Do you mean 2016?( And why is the goal only 250 signatures, if we already have 493? This must be an outdated message...?!)

How local and national government is prepared - or not - to care for those in conflict or distress, who are vulnerable and in need of support, is a measure of the ethos of the society they want to build.

It is very important that people continue to have access to therapy, I support the view that shutting such a service down is false economy.

It is a completely false economy to shut this unit that keeps people out of mental hospitals. Supporting it is common sense.

The government must accept that psychoanalytic/dynamic psychotherapy ought to be on offer to the public (along with a variety of modalities). Look at the recent research from the Tavi./Fonagy collaboration ( 2015 ) which highlights it s efficacy.

Will be a real shame if psychotherapy cannot be accessed with a lower fee considering how expensive living in London is. Also extremely short sighted by the government and the commissioning services in not supporting such a long established service which takes years to establish and this treatment modality,both live changing and life saving.

Saving the institution is saving peoples lives as for many people the mental illness makes life very unbearable and make seem impossible and worthless to live. Save people, not money.

People in the communities are under increasing stresses and therapy can help to resolve issues which can be dealt with early instead of leading to personal and social harm, and to higher costs to the industry. Therapy should be as available as GP services and at least affordable to people who struggle to survive in London even on regular salaries.
