Those of us who do not drive need the buses. The 30 series line has already been reduced causing longer waits for riders. Please don't eliminate them.

My residence (4000 Mass Ave) is ALREADY off the beaten path! This would impede my getting to my medical appts as well as enjoying the Smithsonian and other terrific DC museums and cultural activities!

And if we have to take #96 bus (a cross-town bus) that won't do cuz the #96 is grossly unreliable, esp btwn 7pm-last bus. Too often have to wait one hr., in the cold, in the dark, sometimes standing (stops w.o bus shelter) the whole time!

These buses are a lifeline to neighborhoods not served by Metro, and these buses are already standing room only during rush hour. Please protect these bus lines.

I use this and other Wisconsin buses every week in the spirit of avoiding my car and all its attendant pollution issues. Shame on the WMATA for canceling at the last minute and not showing up when the community made arrangements to speak out, they were shut out.

These buses are most often crowded; they are a life line for the many people who do not have cars and depend on the buses to get to work and shopping and cultural activities, it would be a great disservice to eliminate or greatly curtail this service.

The 30 Metrobus lines are critical to the Glover Park neighborhood. Volume is exceedingly heavy at rush hours as it is. To reduce service would create dangerously overcrowded buses. Service is especially vital for elderly and their caregivers, young people, including students and handicapped patrons, as well as people without cars (like me) and for the homeless, who utilize these routed frequently.

I am shocked at a proposed cut of 30 series buses. Frequently during morning and evening commutes, the buses are overcrowded, many times passing by stops due to capacity. The Cathedral Heights, Glover Park, and Georgetown neighborhoods are not served by the Metro and thus residents have to utilize buses. In the mornings particularly, buses burgeon with people down Wisconsin Ave. - as their path is through primarily residential areas - with a couple of people starting to trickle off around M & 31st (though the majority not until downtown). It is ludicrous to consider cutting these vital services getting people to and from work, to school, and other needs.

The 30 buses are necessary for keeping down traffic and promoting public transport in the urban area. They are great for jury service, museums, restaurants, etc. More frequency and later runs would contribute to even greater usage as one could depend on getting home from the theater on them as well. The Shakespeare theater, Wooly Mamoth, Folger, SAAM theater, as well as the sports venues are only available on the routes beyond 31, 33 terminations. Both Federal and DC courts are beyond those termination points as well-and also those working in many Federal agencies. In this time of increased awareness of the environmental impact of driving please do not reduce the options!

I rely on the 30 and D busses to get back and forth to work. They are already overcrowded, frequently unable to let new passengers on in the morning. My daughter relies on these busses as well to get to and from hardy. Please, please do not reduce these busses. Increase the number would make more sense given how crowded they often are.

It makes sense to improve mass transportation if you want to better control traffic. Reducing buses on such a busy route would be a mistake and force more automobile usage, not good!

Reliable public transport is an essential part of our city — and any city, for that matter. I live in Cathedral Heights — so no Metro stop — and rely on the buses to get where I need to go.
