I use the 30 and especially the 37 buses every day on my commute to work downtown. I especially love the 37 because it bypasses Georgetown to get me home faster! Bus service is already insufficient several times a day with point wait times between buses. We need better transit, not worse! Please don't eliminate these routes. If they are eliminated it will be the last straw and I'm going to have to start driving to work which is way worse for traffic and for the environment.

All the 3* buses are crowded throughout the day! Eliminating 2 routes would create a serious over crowding issue!

I take any of the current routes to frequent medical appointments. Cutting the number of busses in half will increase my travel time and the number of hours I have to be away from my job for these appointments.
Eliminating the 30N and 30S will vastly increase commuting time for many people who work in Glover Park.
Cutting those 2 lines also eliminates my access to all the Congressional offices and hearings on Capitol Hill. All citizens should have access to these!

The 30s buses are a critical link to the city for Glover Park and Cathedral Heights, two neighborhoods that lack Metrorail connections. Many of us lack cars or cannot afford parking at our jobs and/or locations in town, leaving us dependent on transit for much, if not all, of our essential travel. The 30s buses are already overcrowded, especially during peak periods when they serve both working commuters and students who rely on Metrobus to be their school bus. Cutting 30s service will not only hurt an already dying pair of neighborhoods by isolating them from the rest of the city, it will hurt WMATA’s bottom line by reducing potential Metrorail ridership as some 30s riders who would normally connect to a nearby line find other methods of transportation to get to their destination. Those riders may ultimately use their cars, adding to greater congestion along Wisconsin Avenue and elsewhere in the city, adding to pollution and commute times. I strongly urge WMATA to reconsider these cuts.

These buses are crucial for commuters living in Glover Park, an area that has no metro and relies only on buses to go in the city.

Bus service is critical to Glover Park, which is populated by workers who are otherwise isolated from the Metro system. Residents rely on bus service to get to economic centers of DC, to work, and to school. The bus system also connects children from other parts of DC to schools in the Glover Park area. Diminishing service would cripple a neighborhood that already is struggling with the loss for the past two years of Whole Foods, an anchor that brought people from other neighborhoods to Glover Park, where they also frequented locally owned neighborhood businesses.

I currently have to take 3 buses to get to work on the weekend (before the Metrorail opens). With this change, I would have to take 4. At the very least, please at least keep 30N and 30S service in the hours before the Metrorail opens on weekends.

These bus routes are essential for the community. Without them our neighborhood will lose contact with the rest of the City and we will become a suburb instead.

The elimination of these buses will harm residents and businesses in Northwest DC. It also seems to be a good way of losing many customers who use the buses, whose only options to access their homes, schools, or the businesses they wish to patronize will now be to drive, rideshare, walk or bike. It is hard to believe that this ultimately will have economic benefits.

Without a car, I specifically bought a home in this neighborhood because of the access to bus routes like the D1, D2, 30N and 30S.
