The agency should not have let this dog be adopted until he was recovered from surgery. You'd be grouchy if you'd just had surgery and had an active, noisy 2 yr old messing with you. DON'T PUNISH THIS DOG. Rehome it.

Please allow an exception for Buck and consider changing regulations in unusual circumstances such as this. A dog should not be allowed to go to a home with small children that soon after surgery. This is very unfair to the dog. It also seems it would be cheaper for the city to adopt him out instead of put him down.

You adopt a dog out immediately following surgery? This is unacceptable and you are seeking to put that dog down to cover up your own poor judgement. Your poor picy created this situation and should immediately be adjusted.
Appalled.
Do the right thing, allow this adoption.

I'm a breeder. Most dog bites are provoked or out of fear. Dog is trying to protect themself. I've seen dogs that are vicious & for safety reasons need to be put down but in my experience a dog that snaps at someone is provoked or afraid. Since I don't know all the details in this case if this dog goes to someone that doesn't have children it shouldn't be an issue.

This is an example of an extremely irresponsible shelter . Buck should have never been placed in a permanent home the day after neutering. Additionally as an owner of a high energy dog like Buck, I would never have put him in a home with a 2 year old. Don't blame Buck for irresponsible humans.

Please give Buck another chance. Having surgery one day, then being sent to a strange home with a 2 year old had to be stressful. Especially if he wasn't used to being around kids. He deserves another chance, and you have someone willing to give him that chance.

Buck deserves a second chance ! He was never given a fair chance and it was irresponsible to release him so soon after surgery, let alone to a family with a small child. He should have been resting in a calm environment. It would be a huge disgrace to our community to support euthanasia of an innocent, helpless creature in such a way. I fully blame the person or persons who released him in the first place as well as the parents who thought introducing him to a small child at that time would be a good idea. Buck should be rewarded for not being human and that family probably shouldn't be allowed to adopt a dog at all. The kid will provoke that dog too that's abuse.
