This is a gentle breed and he was put into a new and bad situation and just fresh from surgery. A scenario that will never again be duplicated. I would have bit a 2 year old too.

Give this beautiful dog another chance in the right environment he will be an absolute perfect well behaved dog. This shelter should not have released this dog so soon to a new environment with strangers after a surgery with little kids.

The shelter should be at fault for placing the dog in a situation like that , not the dog.

Please allow Chris to adopt Buck. He deserves a second chance. No pet or human would want to be messed with after any procedure. I don't find it fair that he got adopted out that soon after surgery. Especially to a family with a 2 year old. A 2 year old doesn't understand that but Buck was probably being tormented & still was not feeling well. I'd snap too. Plus you send him to an unfamiliar home right after surgery with a 2 year old. Just not fair!!!! Give him a second chance!!!

Save Buck! There's no reason that the dog should not have a second chance. This is a pretty clear, cut and dry situation. The dog was provoked! The family of the child who was bit even called Chris to go adopt him so he must not have vicious tendencies.

Parents should never, ever leave their kids unattended with any dog. 100% active supervision is required!! This poor 2 years old have no idea of dogs body language or even what is okay or what not, interacting with a dog. Give that poor pup a second chance!

Soupene has offered to pay to have Buck independently evaluated, Have him evaluated before you make a decision to euthanize. Human error for placing him in a family with a 2 yr old child. I have a very lazy Shih Tzu that will bite small children, not putting me dog down. Doesn't like hyper, loud small children either
