This dog deserves a second chance. We always blame the animals for the mistakes of humans. Knowing this dog just had surgery no child should have been allowed to mess with him until he felt better.

The shelter did not do their due diligence and the dog should not be paying the ultimate price for it. Sent to a new home with small child the day after surgery!?!

Let him adopt the dog for heaven sake. The dog will definitely be doing better with someone who has experience with the breed n not with small kids.

Animal Shelter failed Buck in this instance.
There should have been home visits, he should have had time to recover from neutering before being put into a strange house and it also sounds like the shelter did not check to make sure Buck was good with small children. Not every dog is. Buck deserves a second chance.

We have a German shorthair... they are a very high strung , overly friendly dog and need lots of attention and exercise.... I hope they give this dog a chance to be placed in a family suited for him
