We have one of these dogs now 3Y/o he gets excited and boisterous and can be rough in play but never hurts on purpose. Loves kids of all sizes is very obedient to the big word NO, Is not really a 2 year old's dog. Tell them to get a Lab' great children's dog.

The shelter should be allowing her to adopt the dog, because that's kinda stupid to not let her! Ok the dog bit the baby.... so what you can at least train the dog! The dog doesn't have rabies unless foam comes out the mouth so the dog had to be ok, plus it was someone's responsibility to check if the dog got the shots or not! So the woman has the rights to adopt the dog, because every dog wants to be loved and not kept up for stupid quarantine! That's just punishment for a dog and it's stupid

I own a GSP. And very familiar with the breed. This is not an aggressive breed, but show be supervised by an adult around young children like ALL dogs
