I don't understand why the shelter won't let the person adopt the dog. This is why I despise animal shelters and for the most part I can't stand the type of people who run them. You'd rather put an animal down than adopt it to someone who wants it? This is why I love animals more than most people.

Almost all animals ANDpeople are in pain after surgery, why would anyone subject either to major lifestyle changes the day after surgery? Why would any animal be placed without rabies vacs?

Chris seems like a reasonable loving home and Buck deserves a second chance. Don't punish a dog for a shelters mistake.

Please give Buck a second chance.

This is crazy!!! Let a Rescue get the dog!!! GSP dogs are a high energy breed. Never to be left unattended with a toddler. Ever!!! Wow, this entire situation is just one huge mistake after another and this poor dog has to suffer for it. Sad :(

Animals shouldn't be punished for being animals. As an animal shelter, you know the mistreatment that occurs regularly for all animal breeds. Don't sacrifice a beautiful pup with a Ready and waiting family because of ignorance. You only let the undeserving win if you put this pup down.

Please give him a second chance to enjoy life.

A German Shorthair is a high energy dog and shouldn't be put with a 2 year old anyway. I think the dog should be placed with Chris and give him and the dog a chance. I thought that was what shelters are all about. Please give the dog a chance.

Buck deserves the chance to prove that he is a good dog and was mishandled by a little kid. Not fair for Buck!

Release Buck to the individual that wants to care for him!

The dog should be provided appropriate and educated evaluation for proper placement. This scenario and situation is incredible evidence of a disservice to the dog and public/potential adopters.

It's sad that someone who is offering to pay to have the dog evaluated still is have if a issue getting him. Wouldn't the dog have to had his rabies before going home with the first family? I hope this dog gets his forever home with this man who you can tell loves him all ready!!!

Please give buck another chance

Give this dog a 2nd chance. It was not his fault. He was placed in the wrong home. Plus he wasnt vaccinated before placed. Shelter should be blamed not this poor dog.

save the dog and let him be adopted---he was released to a home before he had healed from surgery-w/o proper shots!

It would be a shame to end this life because the shelter didn't follow its own order to not place Buck in a home with children under 10. The shelter set him up for failure at the outset, plus placing him a day after surgery. Shame on them!

Please give this guy another chance . Don't end a loving life .

The dog should be given another chance in an appropriate environment. Your overly rigid rules are unfair to the animals and the humans who want to adopt them.

This is not an aggressive dog. He had had surgery the day before and was hurt. Let him be adopted!
