Most of the idea of getting a Buildabear was to 'Bring It To Life' online! Why shut it down? Everyone loved it!
I am 14 and used to sometimes play on Beaville just to check my account was still running and to see if anything had changed etc. Today I try to do the same thing and it says Bearville has shut down! I couldn't believe it! I have 14 buildabears and have played on Bearville for about five years now, since I was 9, our accounts had nostalgic value to us. It was our childhood, a living memory of our childhood and now it's gone! I think to shut it down was an awful idea because it won't do any good - It has started petitions and players do not like the new site!
Buildabear didn't even email me to say Bearville was shutting down! Therefore I still had all my bearbills of which there were about 700,000 and my credits which there were about 8. If I had of known it was shutting down I would've spent them on expensive things I have wanted of Bearville since I first started playing, just to get some last enjoyment out of it. But now I feel sad because I know I will never get a chance to buy those things ever again.
Think of all the little children who got a buildabear for Christmas. Can you imagine how exited they would be to be able to play with their new bear online? Now that has been taken away from them. It was miniature chance to be independent, to own a house of their own and to look after themselves and a pet. Although it was just a virtual world it taught them small lessons about the world but was fun at the same time. You could manage money by visiting the bank etc.
Bearville was unique, probably the first online world where you could bring a toy to life.
BRING BACK BEARVILLE!

I absolutely am disgusted with this. I HAVE BEEN PLAYING BEARVILLE FOR YEARS. THEH WHOLE POINT OF IT IS THAT YOU BRING YOUR BEAR TO LIFE. Now you can't because of the shut down. SAVE BEARVILLE

My sister, 2 cousins, and 3 friends and I all enjoyed Bearville. It is a shame to disappoint so many kids the way closing Bearville has done. More people need to know about this petition.

My cousins and I loved Bearville! We would have been willing to pay a monthly fee to keep Bearville from closing.
