It's a real shame that this has happened. It doesn't affect me, but I work with & know lots of people who are affected

I thought government was trying to get people back to work this just makes it more difficult! Let's see the MP's start cutting their wages and pensions first!!

In a climate where government is actively promoting social responsibility, and encouraging parents into the workforce, it seems unfair that the welfare of the children and staff of their own departments are not considered. Onsite nurseries provide easily accessible childcare. The subsidies have been abolished, why now remove the access altogether? Having your child onsite allows parents to make one journey, and actually enables them to work more productively, and potentially provide a more flexible cover for their employer as they do not have to factor travel into their working day. It also means the nursery opens the same days as the department, unlike a lot of private nurseries who close for example over the Christmas period. Why put barriers in the way of staff coming to work, and how can it be justified to ask employees if CMG for example to consider the welfare of the children in the cases they deal with when they're employer does not consider the welfare if their own children?

Affordable Childcare makes a difference to children and family life. I didn't have this for my son. It would have made such a difference to the time we could have spent with him.

Both my children, now grown, attended this lovely nursery. The staff were great, and both my kids made friends there who they are still friends with today.

My granddaughter attends beakys and is learning so much academically and socially. It has been a joy to watch her grow and enjoy being at nursery. The staff are wonderful and an extension of her " family". It is a shame and utter waste to lose such a successful resource

We had a child at this Nursery and were highly satisfied with the standard of care and develiopment that he received. We are shocked that this decision has been made, and would certainly oppose it

Both of my children have been given a fantastic start in their education by being at Beakys. As an "Outstanding" nursery I am both shocked and appalled that the powers that be have made the decision to close this great nursery without even a consultation with parents. This is surely a decision based on saving money and not encouraging the working family.

Shocked, surprised and quite disgusted that such a quality establishment that does such fine work would be closing. The excellent standards, professionalism and very fine work ethics displayed by all staff at all times to all children and parents would be a massive loss if not prevented.
