The Ritz ballroom has had this name for many years why all of a sudden does the hotel need them to change there name

Good luck guys, seems totally strange to pick on your use of Ritz in your name after all these years when other establishments also use the name. Also wouldn't they have to evidence and prove loss of profit or damage to reputation from the use of the name? Hope common sense prevails.

This place has absolutely no impact on the Ritz name and has been called this for over 100 years! Does this mean that anyone with the same surname as the prime minister should change their surname??

The Ritz Ballroom needs all the support it can get against the bullying Ritz Hotel owners. Get real people there is no confusion here....are Ritz crackers next!!

I cannot believe this is happening! Such an iconic building with so much history and so many worthwhile events for people of all ages. This building and name does not interfere with any other business and should be allowed to continue its activities, which people from miles around enjoy. Please DO NOT put an end to this venue and ruin people's enjoyment in a small local town.

This venue has been well used and well loved for nigh on 80years, under the Ritz name It is also a listed building and should be protected. Don't let it disappear!

It's taken 81 years for the Ritz group to find this potential competitor. Surely no-one could confuse a ballroom in Brighouse with the hotel and tea rooms in London! This is overkill and completely unnecessary

The Ritz in Brighouse is a fantastic dance venue and wonderful community asset which owing to the arrogant and selfish corporate mindset of the London Hotel with the same name is having to change its identity after 68 years at great risk to its business viability.
