PLEASE.....let Brighouse keep it's name. It is iconic, & no-one in their right mind would ever confuse it with The Ritz in London, for goodness sake!!!! I tell everyone about it, & it nearly closed recently, so we cannot risk it being forced to spend money on anything else that isn't absolutely essential - this is certainly NOT essential.

What is wrong with the hotel. Have they nothing better to do. I don't live too far from Brighouse but if someone said they were staying at The Ritz I would know it was London and not Brighouse!!

It makes me wonder how the sad person who started this action against the ballroom found out about this? I wonder if they went there to enjoy themselves like all those currently do and have done for many years. Somehow I doubt it, they've got nothing else better to do in their sad existence.

There used to be hundreds of cinemas & ballrooms called the Ritz. Maybe the London Hotel should change it's name to The Pitz !

This stinks of corporate profit making and to feel threatened by a small venue with the same name is ridiculous! This happened years ago when Yale University in the US did the same thing to Yale College in Wrexham; it is a pathetic attempt to monopolise a name; what legal right do they have. No way is anyone ever going to confuse the two. People throwing their weight about is pathetic in this day and age, especially over this.
