Pathetic by the Barclay brothers. Avoid anything they own e.g. Daily Telegraph. Have they threatened Ritz biscuits yet?

The name should stay the same. After 80 years. The domain is not confusing and it's a ballroom in the North of England.

Ridiculous situation, clearly the overrated Ritz Hotel in London feel it necessary to try and bully a venue that has absolutely nothing similar about it

How utterly ridiculous and pretentious of the Ritz London to demand that this well established business changes its name!! It's hardly any competition for the hotel, and the name Ritz is also associated with crackers.... Are they going to demand the biscuit company changes its name too??

I have never know anyone to be the slightest bit confused about the distinction between the overpriced hotel chain and the local ballroom. Nor does anyone think that it is a box of crackers. Let's stop being silly about who can own what.

Privilege should not be used to crush something with genuine culture and soul. Keep the Ritz Brighouse!
