Als Englischlehrerin weiß ich, dass meine Schüler durch die direkte Kommunikation mit britischen Muttersprachlern enorm motiviert und bereichert werden. Brass Monkey ist eine ideale Begenungsstätte für eben diesen Austausch und muss bleiben!

The Brass Monkey with its charming proprietor Karen has long been a "melting pot" for many different nationalities who have found a home here in Heidelberg. If only for this teason, if Heidelberg has any pretensions of being a "weltoffene" town, enjoying the richness and diversity of thousands of - predominantly young and therefore maybe occasionally not so quiet visitors from around the world, it mudt ensurevthe survival of The Brass Monkey. Anything else would be a clear sign that Heidelberg takes the views of two or three private people more seriously than affording an interciltural meeting place for people from all cultures, religions and creeds. So Heidelberg - what do you stand up for? Social and international integration and openness or the interrsts of two or three private individuals? Individuals who are no longer bothered by the existence of The Brass Monkey.

Ich sehe nicht ein dass der Brass Monkey in HD wegen Beschwerden ehemaliger Mitarbeiter geschlossen wird! Die Kneipe war als Erstes da und wenn den Mietern ein Lokal darunter nicht passt, warum sind Sie denn dann erst dort eingezogen? Wäre das umgekehrt gewesen hätte ich vielleicht ein bisschen Verständnis dafür aufgebracht, aber so entbehrt das jeder Logik. Bitte lassen Sie das Heidelberger Nachtleben nicht um ein Highlight ärmer werden!
