This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If you don't like noise... don't live downtown and don't move in overhead a bar!!! These people need to cop the f@#k on And get a life.

Das Brass Monkeys gehört zu Heidelberg wie die Alte Brücke oder das Schloss. Es ist DER Treffpunkt für internationale und Heidelberger Gäste in der Altstadt. Natürlich müssen Anwohner geschützt werden aber das Brass ist alles andere als ein Gröhlschuppen. Ich verstehe nicht wie ein neuer Mieter sich über unzählige zufriedene Gäste stellen kann. Einer der wenigen original britischen Pubs muss erhalten bleiben!

Wer in die Altstadt zieht sollte sich nicht über "normalen" Lärm beschweren. Ich kann sich nicht an eine laute Straße ziehen und dann verlangen, dass sie geschlossen wird! Es gibt genug ruhige Gegenden in Heidelberg.

Closing a bar is not the solution. Following that logic, they should close all bars, which simply can't happen. I live above a bar in Altstadt and I am not a party animal at all. However, I hear nothing from the action in the bar. The owner of my apartment has installed a pretty good sound proof windows. So, I think the tenants should complain to the owner of the apartment and request a better sound isolation windows. Besides, everytime I pass by the Brass Monkey, their door is closed and no noise is coming out. Probably more control and information for the bar's guests to not make noise outside the bar would also help.
