I hope something can be done to avoid this tragedy, for the sake of preventing the same tragedy from befalling other bars and restaurants in the future, lest BMH close due to noise pollution. To be fair its kinda of a scuzzy place, but it remains an important attraction for English speakers.

If you can't stand noise, then don't move into an apartment located in a building that's home of a bar. It's as easy as that.

This is so stupid (not the petition, but the complaints and the decision to act on them). The Brass Monkey is like a trade mark for Heidelberg. I could not imagine the city without it and many of my good memories are made in this place. Why would you even move in (almost) the noisiest area in the city if you cannot stand noise?

I could not imagine the city without it and many of my good memories are made in this place. Why would you even move in (almost) the noisiest area in the city if you cannot stand noise?

Heidelberg has such a grat pub and bar culture. In my opinion in Altstadt a pub/ bar shouldn't be closed due to noise complaints.
