There is no way, that this should be allowed to go through, against the mother's wishes! I don't care if she is young, she made a conscious decision/effort to be a good mother and was choosing a very natural life and to be told that her child MUST be circumcised is simply unconstitutional and AGAINST THE LAW! This is human rights, NOT a government mandate!

This is not a medical procedure that does not even have to be done. We are one of the few countries that still do this form of unnecessary mutilation to our boys. This whole case seems criminal.

Babies need to be with their mothers. This is lost bonding and nursing time that can never ever be recovered, and will affect this little one and his mother for the rest of their lives. Please have a heart.

This just makes me sick. As if this poor girl hasn't endured enough being raped and subsequently giving birth to her rapists baby... This whole forced circumcision business is flat out wrong. Just like rape is wrong, And waking the baby to nurse every two hours, keeping the new mom isolated from her support network, clearly that isn't in anyone's best interest either. Where is the justice?!?!

For any child to be taken from a successful mum is wrong. If she needs support, that support should be provided to do things how she wants. She is making informed choices for her baby's well-being. In the UK this would never happen, the U.S.is supposed to be progressive.

Protecting this baby means NOT harming him or keeping him from his mother. Irrevocable damage will be done to everyone involved if Alabama DHR continues with their plan, have they no ethics? No compassion? No intelligence? Back away from this family and go study up on what your job actually entails.....
