Please even if there were significant concerns that the mother could not care for braelon properly, the grandparents have been assessed as safe so what is being done is unjust. Having a child by rape is traumatic in the first place, to carry him through, and then to have him and love him to my mind would become an even stronger bond between mother and child, and even more of a reason to not separate them. This baby must be a real leading and a real reason to move ahead after a traumatic past.
This young mum doesn't deserve any more trauma than has already been dealt her, the mental concequences of separation from her family and baby could be huge and totally unnecessary. The stress she must be under must be horrific; she needs her baby and her family and control over her own life. She deserves at the very least a say over what happens in her life and over the life of her child. Please don't allow her rights to be denied mistakenly or deliberately. Please reunite this family ASAP.

This is a gross abuse of the system. If the doctors successfully circumcise this child (cut his genitals forever altering healthy, functioning tissue) they can be sued by the mother and by the child once he is an adult, because NO CONSENT was given. No disease and no consent equals abuse, fraud, and the illegal solicitation of cosmetic surgeries on a minor. No world health organization supports the routine genital cutting of minors.
Also, breastfeeding is recommended for all infants exclusively for the first 6 months and then with solids until 2 or so long as mutually desired after. Forcing a new mother to pump instead of naturally having her baby at the breast WILL significantly reduce supply and also weaken the infant's latch because of nipple confusion from introduced bottles. If this mother is trying to give all of the best starts to her child, I find it laughable that he was taken away, and this is obviously a for profit situation.

Stop the injustice against this mother and her baby. They should be at home not in a detention center were they are treated like crap. She isn't a criminal why treat her like one? Stop the forced circumcision on her baby isn't not anyone's choice but the mothers and she doesn't want the circumcision on her baby at all. Send mother, baby and the mother's brother back home were they belong.
