This is insane and absolutely absurd!! I can not believe these people would take this newborn baby from his mother while nursing! This is unbelievable, and then to decide on circumcision when the mother has RIGHTS, and said "no"! You can not take away someone's rights when they haven't done anything wrong.

This is way overstepping the boundaries of the jobs entrusted to the corrupt doctors and DHR personnel.

Please don't allow this permanent medical decision to take place without the mother's consent

I hope this family are reunited, and the 'officials' who are complicit in the kidnap and abuse get what they deserve.

This unjust system needs to be taken down and that baby and mama need to go home. Violation him through genital mutilation is a major human rights issue especially since his mother has specifically said she does not want it to happen. I hope they sue the state and dhr for all they're worth.

This is a despicable injustice to any human. To her as a mother, and to this infant. Circumcision is a personal decision based solely on what that parent feels is right. Not by any other means. Not by what the federal government wants, the local church, hospital, or nurses or doctors want, not by what the rest of the family wants, it is the MOTHER"S choice. More than half if not more of the world's men are not circumcised. This is abuse to the mother and child on many levels, let her take that child home.

Its the mothers choice on what she wants to do with her child, not the government!

It is disgusting that the state would force an ELECTIVE surgery on a baby against the parent's wishes. To forcefully chop off the majority of a baby's foreskin is cruel and unusual punishment. Not to mention the risks the baby faces by having this surgery forced on him. It has never been proven to reduce STI's or bladder infections. In fact, the majority of males with UTI's are circumcised. If female circumcision was popular in the US, would that give you the right to mutilate a baby girl's vagina against her parents wishes? I beg you, please leave this baby intact!

This should be the mother's choice, circumcision is not medically necessary and this cosmetic procedure should be up to the parent not the state.

A mother is a mother, no matter her age or circumstances. It is a cosmetic surgery that his MOTHER has said no to. It should never be the governments choice to preform a cosmetic surgery against a mothers will.

This whole situation is disgusting. She chose to keep her baby after conceiving from rape... Now the state is raping her baby with forced unnecessary cosmetic surgery that SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!! Let this girl and her family raise her baby and LEAVE THEM BE!!! Any pediatrician that performs circumcision is a disgrace to society. Stop chopping up boys in the name of money.
