This young girl was punished enough by being raped & now God has blessed her with a precious gift & the state of Alabama & her constitutional rights have been taken from her because she is only 14. She has a loving home that both wants them there. Put an end to this nightmare & let them go home in peace. This isn't what God intended for them. Alabama, you are wrong!!!

What they have put her through is deplorable. Let her and her cold be with their family! No one has the right to violate that baby's genitals and even a teen mother knows that. Let her be! They've been thorough enough!!

Breastfeeding mother here and breastfeeding would help this baby get better. His mothers milk is the best thing, its natural not man made! Healthier for this baby!

Circumcision is an elective cosmetic surgery that should not be forced on an infant for no medical reason. It's disgusting and sad enough that this poor baby has been taken away from his birth mother and family for no reason other than her age, and now the state wants to forcibly cut his genitals. This needs to be stopped.

This poor girl has suffered enough. Give her a chance. I was a mom at just turned 18 ubder dire circumstance. My son is a brilliant, hard working 21 year old today.
There is NO way the governement should be allowed to make the dicision that this mother's child be circumcised without her consent. What is going on in this country? What is happening to our rights?

I pray to God for this young mothers and baby sake this petition passes. What they are doing is so wrong on so many levels. I'm so disgusted at how this is being handled. I was a mother at the age of 15! It's scary and life changing as is but to be put through this!? No no no. That poor girl. My heart hurts for her.

As a former social worker I have many opinions on this case. While I do not agree with every statement written in this petition I a) believe that circumcision should not be forced if the mother objects, and b) DHS should seriously consider releasing mom and child back to family.
In my ten years as a social worker, this is the strangest and most questionable situation I have ever come across and I believe something is not right with how DHS is handing this particular case.
