As a local employer who takes corporate citizenship and youth development through modern apprenticeships very seriously, I would be very concerned and very disappointed in the local authority if it was to implement such draconian cuts.

Such a great service for young people. The work youth workers + the service do is invaluable

Lest we forget: Remember this is not the Council doing this as such, it is a pernicious government driving through spending cuts in the name of austerity, when austerity is simply a shock doctrine and a cloak for the real policy of rolling back the state.

Its already been stripped to its core and can't take any more. This is short term minimal gain for long term detriment.

This is a short sighted policy, and could be one of the most costly 'savings' Bradford Council ever attempts. We offer little enough to our young people as it is. They need to think again.

There is little enough to keep the kids of the streets, more things for them to do is required NOT LESS

The Youth Service does a super job with young people,to cut it is bad policy by the councillors, time they deeply thought about not cutting it back as it is an asset to the community. The Town Hall is overstaffed, time to get shut of some of them.

It will cost the council more money in the long run if they keep cutting these vital preventative services. So short sighted.

There is a very real need for work with young people in Denholme, both in terms of leisure activities and also to help control some of the antisocial behaviour evident on almost a daily basis.
