I am honestly stunned to share that the council has officially chosen to keep our pools open. None of this would have happened if you had not cared enough to speak up for our community. Please keep an eye on things because we all need to ensure these spaces stay …
Bradford council are planning to close a number of local pools and replace with 4 new pools in the district.
Bowling Swimming bahts is a local pool serving local and Disabled people and is Highly valued by the Community and must be saved for future generations... Richard Dunn's is a much used Swimming Pool and Sports Center which is too Highly valued by the Community.
The short sightedness of the council put profit before social values so if you think your council tax should contribute to local amenities profit or no profit then please sign this petition.
Thank you
I have been reading through your messages about how much these pools mean to your families and it is truly humbling to see such shared history. The council has not yet offered a response but the sheer volume of your stories is making it impossible for them to look away. This is entirely because of the community choosing to speak up.

Bowling baths is a disabled baths, I am disabled therefor I cannot climb down the stairs of normal pools, where as Bowling has a ramp that leads into the pool, the water there is lovely and warm, it is leval access through out the buiilding.
This baths deserves to remain open, people get refered there from st Lukes hospital.
Get Duncan Goodhew, sharon Davis and Rebbecca Addlington involved also Tom Daily

Really sad to hear this. Used that pool since I was a little girl and my elderly mum still goes for her back. Please reconsider.

RIDICULOUS decision. Where are the local kids supposed to go? They just walk the streets if they have no pool to go to. save our baths!

Bowling baths is the only pool local to me where I can get in without hassle. Used it for years. Shame on the council for thinking about money only.

My kids learnt to swim at Richard Dunn. Taking it away will leave us with nothing local. Stop cutting everything in Bradford for once.
