Save Bournemouth Borough Council's Badgers from Culling

Culling is useless......look at the West Country debacle !!

Ending intensive dairy farming and good housekeeping on those farms would solve the TB problem. Who is surprised when cows are sick after being stuffed into sheds for months at a time. Wake up government.

Please protect our Badgers do not allow this in the Bournemoth area, culls do not work in controlling TB

Culling has not been a proven answer to bovine tuberculosis whereas the vaccine does work - save lives not destroy them.

Although I don't currently live in Bournemouth I have a strong connection to it. Either way an unjust act anywhere is a slight on justice everywhere.

Using DEFRA's figure of 30 % reduction in cattle bTB by killing all badgers, then what causes the other 70% ?? Well, it is because farmers and field workers themselves do not follow basic disease control procedures. The politically skilful Farmer union is wielding more clout than they warrant to use the poor Badger as a scapegoat for their ills

I was living in Bournemouth until a few months ago and am likely to move back at some point and don't agree with my taxes being spent on the needless pointless slaughter of these animals. I don't agree with the theoretical link between cattle and badgers but even if it were proved then vaccination is the way forward.

For goodness sake- cull this bureaucratic state which acts against logic and evidence. Start vaccinating cattle! Stop slaughtering innocent animals!

The cull must not be rolled out,it doesn't work and is inhumane,barbaric and cruel.It does nothing to solve the dreadful problem of btb.Cure not kill...vaccinate!!

This cull is total folly, unscientific, inhumane, irresponsible and an archaic solution to a problem brought on the badgers by cattle farming. Badgers are the victims yet they are being blamed. They are the scapegoats. There are more efficient, humane & sensible options, vaccination & improved bio-security.

MAN HAS BROUGHT BOVINE TB (WORD SAYS IT ALL) TO OUR WOODLAND CREATURES AND THEREFORE WE NEED TO VACCINATE BADGERS INSTEAD OF SLAUGHTERING THEM. WILL OUR CHILDREN ONLY HAVE PICTURES OF THEM IN THE FUTURE.? REMEMBER THE HTMN ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL

Councillors should use their contact with local MPs to push for vaccination to become government policy, because as it stands, a badger could be vaccinated then immediately go out and get shot. Vaccinated badgers are indistinguishable from the rest.

I know I don`t live in Bournemouth but our Badgers are victims of this bTB contracted from cattle so why should they be made to pay?

simply please don't allow culling of badgers on your land. I Holiday in Dorset every year.I Do not want this cull to go ahead at all.Please say No to the Cull in Bournemouth!

I visit family near Bournemouth and I know how much they enjoy the badgers. We can vaccinate against btb there is no need for indiscriminate slaughter.
