Please do not permit this unnecessary slaughter within your borough. The last was a fiasco - and do you want to hear the screams of agony as the DEFRA people 'humanely' destroy the badgers. It's totally ineffective and cruel.

Vaccination is the Way forward. Never had this level of persecution of a species been justified.

Quite apart from the emotive aspect of making badgers suffer, the evidence shows that culling them does not stop the spread of bTB in cattle. There is no justification in spending large amounts of taxpayer's money on this cull while not achieving the aim of preventing bTB in cattle. A vaccination program would be much more effective.

Aside from the clear moral issues here, the financial implication to taxpayers cannot be justified in any way, especially given the facts that the cull does not achieve to help with the reduction in TB and the current financial climate. Please do not forget that, before you forcefully deduct if from their accounts, this money belongs to taxpayers and we want it spent wisely. Thanks, Lisa
