This show (season 1 and 2) was broadcast in my country, the Netherlands, over the past fortnight, and I loved it. Besides having excellent storylines, it showed us another side of the Canadian war effort.
Canadian troops helped liberate my country from the Nazis, but they couldn't have done it without the effort of the women in those factories. I think few Dutch people have ever realized that. This show has made those who didn't know (me included) aware of it. It really moved me.
Please, please, please keep on producing Bomb Girls series. What happened when the 'boys' got home, and in the (couple of) years after the war? If that is not possible, I would be extremely grateful for a Bomb Girls movie, in which the various storylines are 'rounded off'.

I cannot fathom how this show was allowed to be cancelled. It highlights so many important social issues, not to mention its much-needed focus on an unusual chapter of Canadian history about which few outside of Canada are aware. I'm still blown away by its cancellation and awaiting the moment when it gets picked up once more. Scrapped after only two short seasons and a TV movie -- that's absolutely outrageous for a show this wonderful and packed with crucial moral lessons.

Save this show! The history behind it as well as the great plots and underlying messages need to be kept alive. All of us here in the US watching it on netflix would appreciate some more! Go Canada - renew Bomb Girls!

why cancel a show that so many people really enjoyed. dump the dumb shows. This brought Canada into the forefront on ww2.

As a girl in her twenties I can't tell you how much this show really shows me how far us women have come. I believe this show depicts how times really were for the women in the 1940-50's something that is greatly forgotten about with my generation I can tell you. Most of the families who were around in that time are either dead or never wanted to talk about it. This show tells the history of medicine, weapons, crossing racial and sexual boundaries and a way of life that is long gone even the little things as leaving the milk and butter on the steps and the shared telephone lines. This show is something I enjoyed watching for the last two seasons. I wish you would pick up the show again for a season 3 it's a great clean television show with a script that leaves me waiting for the next episode.
