This is an absolute travesty. Baseball loses more money than any other college sport, not to mention there is currently no stadium for them to play in. The athletic department should fund a women's team of some sort if they want to bring on baseball. As long as wrestling is not a sport at BSU I will not attend any events or put a penny into merchandise or anything Boise State.

As a graduate of a school that dropped wrestling in 2001 (Marquette University) I can tell you that the dropping of a program and the opportunities that it provides leaves a huge hole at a school. Dropping it to add another sport is short sighted. Work harder Boise State. Find the money for both.

Athletic Directors and School Administrators the make decisions that affect their State and the community of tax payers that support their University should be held accountable. State Universities are Tax Payer funded and pay their salaries. High School wrestling is strong in Idaho and State Universities should provide an opportunity for these tax paying families to wrestle at a higher level without leaving their STATE.

This decision is plain wrong. You shouldn't cut a sport when you don't even have a plan to instate the new sport. You also shouldn't eliminate a sport that brings more first generation college students to school than most other men's sports. Please reconsider this decision
