I grew up playing in this park with my neighborhood friends. As I got older, I began taking my dog Benji to the adjacent dog park. This park is just just some block of land that can be built upon, it's a park with memories and one of the few last open spaces of grass where one can go to escape the hustle bustle.

Fair enough. Though, even if a green field is part of the school plan, most of the park would be paved over or built upon.

I'm signing this, but I'm not totally against the school. The kids use this field for soccer on the weekends and sometimes late in the afternoon. If there is field space included in the zoning for the school and it is open to the community like most schools have, then I'm for the school. This was not addressed in the petition.

Please save Blake Lane Park from any kind of development, including a school. We purchased a condo in The Oakton mainly because of Blake Lane Park. It's one of the last remaining green spaces around, home for wildlife, and a place for dogs to play. Many kids of all ages play sports in the Park. We do not need any more traffic congestion and pollution in Oakton. As a homeowner and taxpayer, I implore you to preserve and protect Blake Lane Park!
