Utter disgrace, this is even been allowed to occur. With the increased population, this sports site should be getting expanded and added too not sold.

This site is of great value to everyone who has over the years played on it. It is also of great value to those following in their footsteps. It must be saved for sport.

I was an active member for 25yrs playing Hockey, Cricket and Shooting Club. I was aware that the Oxford ground was left by the Coker family for sports and recreation for the people of Bicester. I and my fellow members spent lots of time raising money for the building and upkeep of the-sports club holding carnival, donkey derby and sponsored walks.
The older generation were aware of what the BSA has done they turn in there graves.
Basically there is a lot of unanswered questions about what has happened with the ground being sold, Someone needs to be brought to account for the very wrong misdoings and corrupt ness that is taking place.
Look luck with the fight.

The government has designated Bicester as a garden city which is supposed to include open spaces and sports facilities, yet we are rapidly losing any ground designated for sports.
Moving the facilities to a village several miles away prevents a lot of people from having access.
I have no issue with Value Retail, they acquired the land in good faith to prevent competitors from buying it, but the actions of BSA have consistently been made in such a way as to breed mistrust and conspiracy theories. The fact that they maintain this shroud of secrecy and refuse to answer any accusations of inappropriate dealings and potentially corrupt business practices only serves to further people's suspicions that the sale was not legitimate. If only we could trust our local planning officers to look at the objections before making a balanced decision. But with the way they've acted in the last 20 years, I doubt people have much faith in their honesty or impartiality either

Bicester Village is slowly taking over Bicester, who gave this sports field away it was given to Bicester People from the Cocker family so why do they think Chesterton is much better when this sports field has given Bicester people so much pleasure also quite a few Bicester people have had there Ashes scattered over the ground they loved.

With all that the government is saying about improving the nation's fitness, this should stay as a sports ground - close to the town centre and easily accessible. This will benefit Bicester people far more than if it was to be developed. So sad about what's happening to Bicester.
