There are often queues out the door at Beverley Post Office, it’s so busy. WH Smith will not be able to accommodate the numbers of customers. To close it down doesn’t make any practical sense for local people and businesses. If East Riding of Yorkshire Council (with public backing) can’t stop this going ahead then I’ll be pretty stuck as I rely on the PO for my business and like many others I don’t drive - yes we none drivers do actually exist.

Totally unacceptable decision. WHSmith is not an acceptable option. The store is small, queues are already far to long within WHSmith itself.

There are only 2 post offices in Beverley think it's very unfair that the main post office is in line for closure the customers shout out and demand this main post office is kept open

With the relentless closure of banks, having access to a comprehensive Postal network is even more important.

Ridiculous to think that the tiny WHSmith would accommodate all the services this Post Office branch and for its vast customer base (the only one left now for quite a significant distance)

it's heaving in there at times. I have been told it is going into Smith's. Can't imagine what that would be like at Christmas in there!!!

Beverley needs this valuable resource, making it bigger not smaller would make more sense, as Everytime I go there it popularity is proved by the lengthy queues.

Apauled that this is even been considered. As a business owner in the town this will lessen our footfall even more if the post office was to close.

Keep the post office where it is. Merchants and habitants from Beverley use the post office regularly. It is always very busy.

The post office needs to stay simple, where would the elderly go it needs to stay in town and not become yet another cafe
