As a business owner along Greenwood Ave. I look forward to this event happening each and every year. It brings hundreds of new faces to our town and gives us the chance (as businesses) to say "Thanks for Supporting Us" by hosting a fun event for our community to enjoy.

Don't let a few bad apples ruin a community event.
Consider the date. Occasions claims prom as one reason. Proms are over by July. Also the liquor store is claiming. Sorry. It has very few customers to begin with and there are parking spaces around the corner.

I fully support the closure of PT Barnum Square for a community festival this summer. I vow to patronize one of the businesses whom are speaking out against the squares closure and make a purchase in order to support Bethel community and business!

This festival will enhance the town's image as a cultural center and will bring lots of foot traffic to the area. This is a win-win for both the town and for its businesses. A few days of restricted parking will not *(or should not) make or break a business. A lot of time and efforts has gone into planning this event and I appreciate all those who have invested in this event.

Bethel is a wonderful small town, and this event would draw people from surrounding towns as well to help build up such a great town! I hope this happens, as the long term benefits will pay off for a long time to come!

as a property and business owner on PT Barnum square I think an event like this helps draw more customers to the downtown. With that being said, I actually am slower on days of these events but recognize the larger picture. The high amount of foot traffic will expose my business to potential customers that will hopefully come in the future and spend more than I may loose on one particular day. Aren't we supposed to be supporting the long term growth of our community!
