I am 64 yr. old at that bridge has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember . Why can't it be left as a walking or bike trail bridge ? There's got to be stories about the bridge that we all would find funny ,sad, loveing and so on. Please let the old bend bridge stand.

i grew up crossing that bridge so many times everyday.It has alot of memories of my past.please save it.

The Ozark Trail Association has determined that Bend Bridge (aka Withington Ford Bridge) will make the perfect crossing for Missouri's Ozark Trail as it makes its way toward St. Louis. The Ozark Trail and the Magi Foundation are committed to work to raise $750,000 to be place in a trust fund for restoration and future maintenance of the bridge. If the City of Pacific will "buy" the bridge and easement to it from Franklin County for $1, The Ozark Trail Association will, in partnership with the Magi Foundation, take on the task of funding and cooridinating all future maintenance as needed.
